Man maker
A full-body complex: push-up, a row on each side, jump to squat and overhead press. It is for conditioning, not hypertrophy: load per muscle is low and systemic fatigue is very high.
How to do it
- Hex dumbbells or a solid base before the push-up
- Hips low as you row; do not rotate the torso
- Only jump to the squat if your back stays neutral
- Pick a weight that keeps the final press clean
Sets, reps and tempo
Ranges: 5–10 reps per set · conditioning work
Tempo: Explosive hip and knee; land or receive the load by absorbing it
Common mistakes
- Chaining the phases without resetting the back
- Loading for the row and having nothing left for the press
- Programming it as strength work instead of conditioning
